102nd Birth Anniversary Of President Ramon Magsaysay
August 31 1907- March 17 1957
President Ramon Magsaysay was born 102 years today. As a youth, he already exhibited traits that marked him above his generation. When he was elected president of the Phil. Ramon established a number of records. At age 46, he was the youngest elected president, the one with the least year of public service. " To establish a government based upon honesty and morality" he stated as his goal in his December 30 1953 Inaugural Address.
President Magsaysay died in a plane crash on march 17 1957. More than 50 years after he died, people continue to remember him. He won the people's undying love because of his efforts to make a government of integrity and honesty. He was one of Asia's Greatest democratic leaders because of his endeavors to break down opprossion and injustices in his country and because he lived honestly and honorably.
May the Filipino race produce other leader like Pres. Ramon Magsaysay- Honest, sincere, and incorruptible.
